Your photo. Your ownership.

When you upload a photo to Society, you agree to these terms for that photo.

Permission to use the photo

You keep ownership of your photo. You give Society a nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to store, resize, display and share it on the Society community site and Society event or social media promotion. We may crop or adjust the image for layout. We will credit the photographer when the credit is supplied and reasonably practical. This permission does not transfer ownership to Society.

People shown in the photo

Upload only a photo you took or have permission to share. Before uploading a photo with another recognizable person, make sure they have agreed to its display and Society promotion. Your upload does not grant Society rights to another person’s likeness on their behalf.

No AI use

Society will not use uploaded photos or likenesses for AI editing, AI-generated promotional images, model training, voice cloning or synthetic endorsements.

Verification photos

If you request a verified badge, you can separately consent to upload a clear photo of yourself for a Society organizer to review. This photo is private, is used only to review the request, and is deleted after the decision. Do not submit an ID document. A badge appears only after an organizer approves the request.

Review and removal

A saved private moment is visible immediately only to its uploader. Member photo posts and Stories wait for Society organizer review before reaching their chosen audience. Society does not currently use an automated image-safety classifier. Reported photos return to review and are hidden from other members while reviewed. You may contact Society to ask us to stop future use or remove an image from channels we control. We cannot guarantee that copies already downloaded, printed or reposted by others can be recalled.

Privacy

Your profile and its visibility settings determine who can see community posts. Profile photos appear on your profile. Do not upload sensitive or private images.
